Protect yourself from Electromagnetic Fields

Protect yourself from Electromagnetic Fields! Is this modern world of ours, modern technology is cool, amazing and improves our lives to some degree. However, there is a dark side to this technology because of all the electromagnetic fields that they emit.

It’s important to learn how to protect yourself from Electromagnetic Fields. You may think that there are no problems with these electromagnetic fields, but there is and there is research to prove it. These electromagnetic fields are affecting our immune systems, endocrine systems and even our cellular systems, especially the health of our mitochondria.

The following article is all about learning how to Protect yourself from Electromagnetic Fields. This article comes from EMF Warriors. Here is the link to the article on the EMF Warrior Website. Protect yourself from Electromagnetic Fields

EMFs are everywhere but you can’t see, smell, hear, taste or touch them – the only way to determine if your home is safe for you and your children is to test. All EMF warriors who are serious about identifying nnEMFs in their environment have an EMF testing meter close at hand. To ensure you or your family are not being overexposed you need to test areas where you spend lots of time – your home, office and even your car. Testing is the most important thing you can do to protect yourself and your family. You can also hire testing equipment or engage a professional such as a building biologist to test your environment for you.

Common sources of nnEMFs in your home or office (excluding fake lights):

  • Bluetooth devices
  • Cordless phones
  • Computers and laptops
  • Digital alarm clocks
  • Electrical wiring
  • Microwave ovens
  • ‘Smart’ appliances
  • Smart meters
  • Smartphones and tablets
  • Solar panel invertors
  • TV screens
  • Wi-fi routers
  • Wireless modems
  • Wireless video game consoles
  • Wireless burglar alarms
  • Wireless baby monitors
  • Wireless printers

Some other hazards you might be exposed to that come from outside your home or office:

  • Telecommunication tower antennas and base stations
  • Radio and TV antennas
  • Electricity substations
  • High-voltage cables
  • Your neighbours’ smart meters.

The next step is to educate yourself. The best way is to join www.emfwarriors.com to access our free library and information on this website.

Here are some immediate actions everyone can take to improve their EMF hygiene

  1. Get into the habit of waking up and getting morning sun. Nothing beats the full spectrum rays coming from the sun. Expose your face and whole body if you can – about 30 minutes a day first thing around sunrise is optimal. If you can go to the beach to get the photons from the sun, electrons from the sand and minerals from the ocean. If you live away from the coast go for a bare foot walk in the park. No sunglasses.
  2. Determine if a smart meter has been installed in your meter box (usually without your permission or knowledge) If so ask your utility company to replace it.
  3. Replace all cordless phones in your home with wired versions – you could, alternatively, if you must buy a low-radiation DECT cordless phone to reduce the amount of nnEMFs travelling about.
  4. If you can’t use a landline to make a call use speaker mode on your smartphone holding the phone at least 30 cm away from your body. If you need privacy purchase a pair of air tube headsets.
  5. Use ethernet cables instead of wi-fi. Use an ethernet cable to connect all computers (includes baby monitors and tablets) to the internet, rather than a wireless router. Not everyone loves this option, as you can’t just stand up and walk around with your computer. But the extra benefit is that data transmission is much faster. Only turn on your wi-fi router when necessary, typically when visitors require access. Otherwise keep it unplugged from the electrical outlet.
  6. If you have to work with electronic devices at night, wear blue blocking glasses. (Some say you should also wear them during the day if you’re working indoors under artificial lights.) The glasses help reduces the intensity of the blue light getting into your eyes, and reduce the degree to which melatonin is suppressed in your system. You can also install f.lux on all computers; and you enable Night Shift mode on your iPhone if you have one.
  7. Build a sleep sanctuary and switch off everything in the bedroom or don’t have any devices in there to begin with. That means phones and tablets are turned off and in another room, no digital alarm clock or TV and all lights are off. Sleeping in total darkness promotes melatonin secretion in your body, and helps you rest and recover deeply.
  8. Most of all, whenever you can, take a break and get out in nature – get some sun, get some surf, and put your bare feet on the ground, whether that’s on weekends, on holidays or before work.

Crohn’s Disease

Digestive health issues are a huge epidemic in our society and one of the of most alarming digestive diseases is Crohn’s disease. Crohn’s disease is growing at a fast rate and unfortunately, modern medicine does not and will not have the answer or cure. Why are many people suffering from Crohn’s disease?

Crohn’s disease is classified as an Irritable Bowel Disease and it is a chronic inflammatory condition of the gastrointestinal tract. Crohn’s disease is also classified as an autoimmune disorder where the body attacks itself. It mainly occurs in the last part of the small intestine, called the ileum and the beginning of the large colon. However, Crohn’s disease can occur anywhere along the entire gastrointestinal tract, from the mouth to the anus and it can affect the entire thickness of the bowel wall.

Some of the most common symptoms of Crohn’s disease include the following: persistent diarrhea, rectal bleeding, an urgent need to move bowels, abdominal cramps and pain, a sensation of incomplete evacuation and constipation. Other symptoms can include fever, loss of appetite, weight loss, fatigue, night sweats and a loss of normal menstrual cycles.

The main cause of Crohn’s disease is a poor diet made possible from our modern society with the large processed food companies, fast food restaurants, agricultural chemical products in the form of pesticides and the ever increasing genetical modified organisms (GMOs) in the food supply. All of these modern applications to our food supply wreck havoc on our entire digestive and immune systems by greatly weakening the body’s ability to generate proper levels of stomach acid (hydrochloric acid), the body’s ability to absorb nutrients within the small intestine and the body’s ability to keep the proper balance of bacteria, mainly in the large intestine, but throughout the entire body. When these functions of the body are weakened or destroyed, disease sets in and one of these diseases is Crohn’s disease. Simply put, Crohn’s disease is the inability of the digestive system to digest, absorb and assimilate the nutrients necessary for a healthy body and mind. This sets the stage for the body to start attacking itself because the body sees the undigested food in the blood steam as a foreign invader. Couple the undigested food with the chemicals from food and body care products and the stage for general war against the body is set.

The best way to mitigate or cure Crohn’s disease is a complete lifestyle change, beginning with healthy food. The most healing diet includes the following foods: grass fed beef, pastured chicken, wild fish, pastured eggs, oysters, avocados, coconut oil, olive oil, cod liver oil, bone broth from pastured animals, raw pastured butter, raw cow or goat milk, raw cow or goat yogurt and kefir, homemade vegetable juice, steamed vegetables, raw apple cider vinegar, raw honey and perhaps, some fruit here and there. All of these foods need to be hormone free and organic. Each person with Crohn’s disease will be at a different stage in their dealing with this disease and the above listed foods will vary from person to person. Some folks will be able to eat some fruit and cooked vegetables and some will not. Some folks will be able to digest raw milk and some will not. Some folks will have to eat a completely raw primal diet to ensure the best path to healing. Grains, beans, pasteurized dairy, nuts, seeds, added sweeteners, starches and raw vegetables need to be avoided to ensure the best healing of the digestive system. Avoid all processed foods, fast foods, GMO foods and pesticide laden foods.

Certain supplements will be helpful and these supplements will vary from person to person. These supplements include the following: HCL with pepsin capsules, digestive bitters, digestive enzymes, probiotics, raw cod liver oil, whole foods based vitamin C, whole foods based zinc, other whole foods based vitamins and minerals, adaptogenic herbs, terramin clay and other supplements.

Besides a radical change in diet, other lifestyle changes include the following: using very little body care products and these body care products need to be organic, getting outside as much as possible and soaking up the sunlight, following circadian rhythm, doing some Earthing (putting your bare feet on the Earth), engaging in moving your body, deep breathing, emotional expression and healing, reducing stress levels, spending time with loved ones, and standing up for yourself. Of course, there are other healthy lifestyle changes to incorporate into your life and it will vary from person to person.

Crohn’s disease is a challenging and sometimes, a major life altering disease. If we are going to see any reduction in Crohn’s disease with the hopes of curing it, we start with what we eat and we eat foods that have healing energy and properties; and from there, we start to radical change the way we live on every level of life: physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

Oysters for Health!

One of the most nutritious and powerful foods are oysters. Oysters for health! Growing up near the coast in Virginia, I ate a lot of seafood, including oysters from the Chesapeake Bay. Back then, I had no idea how heathy oysters were. I do now.

Oysters are known as an aphrodisiac in some cultures. Perhaps it’s the shape and texture that make them an aphrodisiac, but the real reason is the powerful nutritional value of oysters. Oysters are packed with healthy protein and fat, both of which are needed for hormonal and neurotransmitter production and assimilation. Oysters for health! Oysters contain the most zinc of any food and zinc is the most important mineral for the immune system. White blood cells need zinc to be produced and to work properly. Zinc is needed for a healthy prostate and many men need a boost in their prostate health. Zinc is also needed for healthy muscles and healthy bones. Besides zinc, oysters contain the following nutrients: vitamin D, vitamin B12, iron, copper, manganese, and selenium. Oysters also contain high levels of niacin, riboflavin, thiamin, vitamin C, phosphorus, potassium, and sodium. Finally, oysters are a huge source of beneficial cholesterol, antioxidants, omega-3 fatty acids and water. Oysters even contain a small amount of vitamin A and vitamin B6. Oysters for health!

Another awesome benefit of zinc is its ability to keep testosterone levels at healthy levels. Men have much more testosterone than women, but women need that small amount of testosterone at healthy levels or women will see a decrease in muscle tone, energy and libido. Oysters for health!

The best way to obtain all the nutrition from oysters is to eat them raw, like I do. Squeeze some lime or lemon juice on the oysters and add some good cocktail sauce, preferably organic and homemade. If raw is not your style, roast, sauté, bake or grill the oysters. You will still obtain a huge benefit from the oysters if they are cooked.

One last note of the benefit of oysters is their ability to absorb toxins and to assist in ushering the toxins out of your body. Your liver, which does most of your body’s detoxing through its phase 1 and phase 2 detoxification pathways, will love it if you start consuming some oysters. Oysters for health!

Chronic Disease

Chronic disease is everywhere in our society. What is going on? Has it always been this way? How many people do you know that are suffering from a chronic disease? Chronic disease is much larger than it use to be and it’s due to all the environmental toxins in the food, air, water, beauty products, skin care products, clothing and modern medicine, including pharmaceutical drugs and vaccines. Do you realize all the toxins in vaccines and the damage being done to babies and kids?
What is the answer to preventing and curing chronic disease? I can tell you that the answer is not modern medicine and all the drugs and surgery. The answer in preventing and curing chronic disease is five fold: primal eating, earthing, circadian rhythm, emotional health and some exercise.

Fluoride is toxic

The use of fluoride in drinking water across the country has been in place for decades and it has been praised as one the best medical advancements for the last 100 years. Safe and effective is what the dental and medical fields have been saying for years.

Do you know that the fluoride added to our water is toxic. Fluoride is toxic! This fluoride comes from the phosphate mining and fertilizer industry. Fluoride is a toxic by-product that occurs from the mining and processing of phosphate rocks. It is deemed toxic by the EPA, yet is magically becomes okay if it is packaged up and sold to water municipalities across the country.

This fluoride is toxic and can cause health problems in the body such as learning problems, neurological damage, thyroid damage and overall endocrine issues.

Studies show the fluoride does not decrease cavities and improve overall dental health.  Healthy teeth have to do with a healthy diet. The fact that fluoride is toxic is just another fraud perpetrated on the citizens of this country.

For a detailed account of the damage of fluoride, check out this video from Dr.Paul Connett, who recently spoke at the public fluoride forum at Denver Water on July 29, 2015. We Are Change Colorado was instrumental in brining about this public fluoride forum.

War on Cancer

The government and modern medicine’s war on cancer has been around since the 1960’s and it’s still raging with no victory in sight. The war on cancer is like the war on drugs and the war on terrorism. These wars are failures and they will never be successful. It’s sad how much propaganda has been spewed on the American public and the propaganda continues today.

All this pink ribbon hysteria by the Susan G. Komen organization is mind blowing. There will never be a cure for cancer has long as there are toxins in the world and treating cancer with toxins like radiation and chemotherapy is unbelievable.

The war on cancer is quite simply, a failing and costly approach propped up by big medicine and big government and sadly, the majority of people still believe that the war on cancer will be won.

It’s time to start using some critical thinking and discernment and to realize that the war on cancer does not make sense and the war on cancer is based on fear and money.

Environmental Toxins

Environmental toxins are everywhere and they are a huge factor in undermining the health of our society and the whole wide world. Environmental toxins are part of modern living, but at what cost to our health? Some of these environmental toxins are necessary in order to produce computers, cars and other machines, but many of these environmental toxins are unnecessary and should not be allowed in our food, water or air, such as fluoride and mercury, toxins in body care products and cosmetics, and the toxins in processed foods, such as aspartame. All these environmental toxins are contributing to the onslaught of neurological diseases, cancer, birth defects, respiratory problems and digestive diseases.

Here is an excellent article by the Weston A. Price Foundation on how to protect yourself from environmental toxins.  Below is the article and here is the link to the article at the Weston A. Price Foundation Website. http://www.westonaprice.org/environmental-toxins/

Survival in the modern world is becoming more and more difficult. Not only must we navigate the treacherous waters of processed foods (particularly difficult for parents as advertising for the worst food items is aimed directly at children) but also contend with the growing presence of industrial and agricultural toxins.

In this section we look at pesticides and industrial poisons as a cause of SARS–Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome–as well as the accumulation of mercury–one of the most toxic substances on the planet–in our biosphere: in the oceans, in fish, and in our own bodies. Levels of cadmium, lead, aluminum and arsenic are also rising. Add electromagnetic pollution, irradiation, ultrapasteurization, fluorescent lights and toxic additives like MSG and aspartame to the equation and we arrive at the explanation for rising rates of acute and degenerative disease.

How do we protect ourselves against this onslaught? Obviously, the first line of defense is to avoid these toxins as much as possible. That means choosing whole, unprocessed, organic or pasture-fed food, drinking and cooking with filtered water and avoiding the most flagrant sources of poison–saying no to thimerosal in vaccines, amalgam fillings and pesticides in our homes and gardens.

Most of us have less choice when it comes to where we live and work. Nevertheless, we should seek alternatives to jobs that expose us unnecessarily to pesticides and industrial toxins.

None of us can completely escape exposure to toxins–and neither could our ancestors. Smoke is filled with toxins–think of the primitive Gaelics that Weston Price described, living in smoke-filled cottages. Before electricity, smoke from lamps and fireplaces was a constant source of irritants and carcinogens.

Fortunately, many factors in traditional diets help the body deal with toxins. Last issue we read about how gelatin-rich broths helps the liver detoxify. In this section, Eric Davis describes the benefits of a protein-and fat-rich diet in supporting the body’s various defenses against poisons. Lacto-fermented foods provide additional support.

Pesticides work by interfering with vitamin A pathways. Therefore, adequate vitamin A is key to surviving in the modern world. That translates into plenty of butterfat, eggs and organ meats from grass-fed animals with a supplement of cod liver oil to provide an extra measure of protection. Fortunately, mercury accumulates in the protein portion of fish, not the oil, so cod liver oil is clean and safe.

Healthy nutrition and cosmetics.

Do you practice the art of healthy nutrition and cosmetics? As important as nutrition is for a healthy body and mind, it’s also extremely important to be aware of what you put on your skin in regards to lotion, shampoo, soap, toothpaste and cosmetics. What we put on our skin is like food, as some of it will be absorbed into the body. Sadly, most skin products are full of toxins and they are contributing  to this epidemic of illness and disease. Fortunately, there are natural choices for healthy skin products and cosmetics. Healthy nutrition and cosmetics is the way to go.

The following article is from http://www.fix.com.  The author is http://www.fix.com/blog/authors/nikki-fotheringham/

You are perfect. But we understand that, every now and then, you need to add a little color to your cheeks and a little smoke to those eyes. Most cosmetics contain toxic chemicals that may cause harm and age you prematurely. Why use toxic cosmetics, many of which were tested on animals, when you can have your makeup and eat it too? You can make everything in your makeup bag from items you already have in your kitchen and some from your local health food store.

What’s in Your Makeup Bag?

The effects of makeup on your health are more than just skin-deep. Your makeup bag harbors more horrors than you can shake a sharp stick at: everything from lead to asbestos and quite a few nasty things in between. Some of the ingredients moonlight as stabilizers for pesticides and industrial cleaners. Can we all agree that something that’s used to clean a factory floor probably shouldn’t be cleaning your delicate face?

The ugly truth about the beauty industry is that many of these chemicals have been linked to cancer, birth defects, and infertility, as well as skin irritation and eczema.

Here is a list of the chemicals with the most dire health consequences:

1. Phthalates

These endocrine disrupters found in synthetic fragrances and nail polish have been linked to breast cancer and early puberty in girls. Studies have also found high phthalate levels in people suffering from diabetes. Phthalates have been linked to obesity in children. 1

2. Parabens

Used as an anti-microbial, anti-fungal, and as a preservative, parabens have been found in biopsies of breast tumors. Parabens are thought to be present in 75-90 percent of cosmetic products. The problem is that these are considered part of the “trade secret” ingredients, so cosmetic companies aren’t required to list them on the label. They are found in a wide range of creams, lotions, and antiperspirants. 2 3 4

3. Ethylene Oxide

The National Toxicology Program classifies ethylene oxide as a known carcinogen. It is found in shampoos and fragrances and has been linked to an increased risk of breast cancer.

4. Lead

Found in a plethora of products, including sunscreens, lipsticks, foundations, nail polishes, and toothpastes with whitening properties, lead is a neurotoxin that is known to reduce fertility and may result in learning and language disabilities and behavioral problems. 5

5. Triclosan

A popular anti-bacterial, triclosan can be found in cleansers, antiperspirants, cosmetics, and toothpastes. Triclosan is actually classified as a pesticide, and it can have serious effects on your hormones, especially those associated with the thyroid, which regulate the metabolism. Widespread use of triclosan in hand sanitizers and anti-bacterial soaps is linked to increased bacterial resistance. 6 7

DIY Deodorant

Antiperspirant contains anti-bacterial chemicals and zinc, which have been linked to breast cancer and early-onset Alzheimer’s disease. Toss your underarm sticks and make your own in two shakes of a lamb’s tail – you probably already have everything you need!

  • 3 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 3 tablespoons baking soda
  • 3 tablespoons corn starch

Mix all the ingredients into a stiff paste and spoon into an empty underarm deodorant stick. Cool in the fridge until firm. Apply as usual.

Note: if it is very warm in your home, keep the deodorant in the fridge so that the coconut oil doesn’t liquefy.

Face Powder and Eye Shadow

Talc, a known toxic substance, is found in face powders and eye shadows, where it acts as an anti-caking agent. Talc contains asbestos, which causes cancer in the breast and lungs.

Face powders and eye shadows also contain zinc and may cause skin irritation with extended use. Dr. Donald Grant, dermatitis specialist, says, “Unfortunately I do see an awful lot of women who have eczema or inflammation on their eyelids and nowhere else. The tissue around the eyes dries out as you get older.”

If you want alluring peepers and perfect skin, you can cook up your own beauty regimen in no time at all.

  • Arrowroot
  • Cocoa powder for brown eye shadow
  • Beet powder for pink eye shadow
  • Spirulina for green eye shadow
  • Activated charcoal for black/gray eye shadow
  • Nutmeg for golden brown eye shadow

For the eye shadows, use one-quarter of a teaspoon of arrowroot as your base. Now add color until you get the shade you desire.

For face powder, start with one tablespoon of arrowroot and slowly add cocoa and nutmeg until you get a shade that matches your skin tone.

Note: for a creamier eye shadow, add one-eighth of a teaspoon of shea butter, which will help to moisturise your lids and prevent the eye shadow from rubbing off.

Mascara and Eyeliner

Smokey eyes can be healthily achieved when you follow this easy recipe that serves as both an eyeliner and mascara. Use an old mascara tube and a brush to apply the mixture. To clean the mascara tube, soak it in very hot water for 10 minutes, and then rinse thoroughly.

  • 3/4 tsp beeswax
  • 1/2 tsp coconut oil
  • 1/2 tsp shea butter
  • 2 tsp aloe vera gel
  • 1 capsule activated charcoal

You can find all these ingredients at your local health food store. Place the beeswax, coconut oil, shea butter, and aloe vera in a double boiler. If you don’t have a double boiler, place the ingredients in a glass or metal bowl in a pot of water.

Heat gently over a very low heat until all the ingredients are melted and mixed. Break open the capsule, add the charcoal, and mix well. Use a funnel to pour the mixture into the mascara tube or pour it into a container for eyeliner.

If you don’t have a funnel, pour the mixture into a plastic bag, snip a corner off, and then squeeze the bag so that the mixture can be piped into the mascara tube without spilling.

The Truth About Nutrition

As I began my six-mile hike to the top of the Lookout Mountain via the Scout Trail, which gains 2700 feet in elevation, from 5700 feet to 8400 feet, I noticed a sign next to the start of the trail and it got me thinking.

“There are three things that can not be long hidden: The Sun, the Moon and the Truth.”

Stated 2500 years ago by the Buddha and it still rings true today. Of course, we cannot control the Sun and the Moon, but we definitely can control the truth within ourselves and the truth that we speak. The funny thing about this statement is that most people enjoy seeing the sun after several rainy or foggy days and most everyone enjoys seeing the moon shining in the sky, especially the full moon, but a lot of folks are uncomfortable or afraid of the truth, especially when it is about them or about a subject, business or government that they have a personal interest in.

I suddenly thought about the “truth about nutrition” and how so many people are being deceived about real healing foods. Our society is so full of toxins and toxic food and outright propaganda from the government, the big food industry and the medical industry. The truth is always there and will always be; it just takes courage and patience to discover those truths that are hidden or disguised. The truth about nutrition is one of those hidden truths. Truth and nutrition will have a big impact on your life. Real healthy nutrition can and will improve your health and start to heal your body and mind. Never accept when your doctor or mainstream medicine tells you that there is nothing else that can be done for you and that you will have to take drugs and accept your illness or disease. That is not the truth. Nutrition will make a difference and that is the truth. How much of a difference is unknown as sometimes the body is so damaged that nutrition will only go so far in the healing process, but it will help to some degree.

Never be afraid to speak the truth, for the truth shall set your free. The truth about nutrition is going mainstream!

Menopause and Animal Fats

The entire endocrine system is amazing and marvelous and works harmoniously and perfectly when our lifestyles are harmonious, stress is low and we are eating real food, engaging in meaningful work, fostering wonderful relationship and performing some sort of exercise and inner work.

The endocrine system comprises many glands and feedback systems and it affects every system of the body from the immune system, the reproductive system, the nervous system, the metabolic system and so on.

Many women suffer as they enter menopause with an overwhelming amount of hot flashes and mood swings, coupled with vaginal dryness and painful intercourse. It’s normal for women to experience some hot flashes and perhaps some mood swings, but menopause should not be a horrific experience. Menopause should be viewed as a new birth for women as their bodies are changing and their direction in life is also changing; and it can be viewed and felt this way if the right steps are taken and the one of the most important steps is healthy food, especially healthy fats from animals, such as fermented cod liver oil, grass fed butter, pastured eggs, grass fed beef, wild caught fish and oysters and for some folks, raw milk, raw cream and raw cheese. These healthy fats will nourish the entire endocrine system and it will provide the liver with an extra boost of cholesterol, the building block for all of the hormones that your body produces, such as estrogen and progesterone.

With menopause, the ovaries do not produce as much estrogen; therefore, the adrenal glands and the liver have to pick up the slack and unfortunately, many women do not have healthy adrenal glands and their livers are a little sluggish. The above healthy fats mentioned above, coupled with fermented foods, moderate amounts of good protein, herbs for the adrenals and for hormone balance and a big reduction in the amount of carbohydrate consumption and sugar consumption will help with a smoother menopause.

Other healthy factors include moderate cardio, strength training, emotional expression, support of family and friends and a new-found love and respect for your body.

A big factor for the overall health for all women of all ages is our toxic environment with all the xenoestrogens, that mimic estrogen and over excite the estrogen receptors. Xenoestrogens include pesticides, GMOs, plastics, pharmaceutical hormones, hormones in the commercial milk and meat and even in soy foods and other plants, which are referred to as phytoestrogens. Depending on the situation, mainly with menopause, some phytoestrogens can be beneficial, such as flax oil, evening primrose oil and a few fruits and herbs. However, stay away from the rest of the Xenoestrogens  as best as possible, including all soy products.
