Diabetes and high blood pressure are very common health issues in our society.  Diabetes and high blood pressure can be managed properly and sometimes healed with proper nutrition. In regards to diabetes, type 2 can often be healed with good nutrition, and type 1 can be better managed with good nutrition.

Holistic Nutrition

Holistic Nutrition

If you have reached your limits in searching for the answers from modern medicine, change your focus on holistic nutrition. Nutrition is a part of everyone’s daily life. Everyone has to eat, but most people are not eating healthy and a lot of the food consumed in our society is not real food, but food like substances. I coined that term last year. (FLS)

Holistic nutriton is nutrition that is based on real food that can heal the body and mind. The universe created all the real food that we need to be healthy. Unfortunately, most of the food in the grocery stores and in the restaurants is not healthy and this unhealthy food is the main contributing factor in the alarming rate of illness and disease around the world.

Holistic nutrition is also about using natural nutritional supplements and herbs when needed and using laboratory testing when needed. Laboratory testing is a wonderful tool to show what is going on in various systems of the body. Holistic nutriton is a way of life and it looks at the underlying issue of health challenges, illness and disease. Sadly, the majority of the time, modern medicine takes a superficial look at the symptoms and not at the underlying issue. It’s wonderful to alleviate troublesome symptoms, but no real healing will take place until the underlying causes are addressed.  The majority of people who are suffering from ill health are not getting the answers from modern medicine and they are not getting any healthier.

Hopefully, these people will start to question modern medicine and a light bulb will turn on and they will see the ray of hope and healing through holistic nutrition.

Primal Radiance is all about holistic nutriton and a holistic way of living.  Contact Primal Radiance to get on the path to amazing health.

Constipation can lead to serious illness

Constipation is a very common health issue in our society. It can be an acute issue or a chronic issue and if it’s a chronic issue, it can lead to serious health problems. Why is constipation so prevalent? What are the main causes of constipation?

The number one cause of constipation is the processed food that most folks are eating. This processed food is not food, it’s food like substances. (FLS) I coined this phrase last year while talking to a friend and expressing my concern and utter shock at all the FLS around us. This processed food is not recognized by the body and it’s void of any good bacteria, enzymes, and vitamins and minerals. The body has a hard time digesting this processed food and this leads to an imbalance in the micro-biome or bacteria in your gut. The bacteria are largely responsible for creating the perfect environment for creating and forming a health bowel movement. When the micro-biome is weakened, constipation sets in.

Other causes of constipation are stress, low stomach acid and taking too many pharmaceutical drugs. Stress can put your body in the sympathetic nervous system and this causes your body and mind to be on high alert for danger and this shuts down the digestive system and revs up your adrenaline, your heart rate and your respiratory system. Sadly, many people are in this sympathetic state most of the time and this hampers the digestive system.

Chronic constipation can lead to immune system problems, auto-immune diseases, such as lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn’s disease, etc., headaches and migraines, fatigue, brain fog and many other health issues.

The best solutions to end the unhealthy cycle of constipation are to eat real food, reduce stress levels, decrease or eliminate pharmaceutical drugs and to move your body in a way that you enjoy. Best foods to eat: avocados, coconut oil, olives and olive oil, pastured raised meats, eggs, steamed green vegetables, home made vegetable juice, sauerkraut, fruit, but not too much fruit and kombucha tea. Nutritional supplements consisting of probiotics, enzymes, digestive bitters and if needed, HCL with Pepsin will be helpful. Gillette Nutriton offers an amazing Probiotic/Enzyme supplement called B-Pro. Here is the link to B-Pro.

Crohn’s Disease

Digestive health issues are a huge epidemic in our society and one of the of most alarming digestive diseases is Crohn’s disease. Crohn’s disease is growing at a fast rate and unfortunately, modern medicine does not and will not have the answer or cure. Why are many people suffering from Crohn’s disease?

Crohn’s disease is classified as an Irritable Bowel Disease and it is a chronic inflammatory condition of the gastrointestinal tract. Crohn’s disease is also classified as an autoimmune disorder where the body attacks itself. It mainly occurs in the last part of the small intestine, called the ileum and the beginning of the large colon. However, Crohn’s disease can occur anywhere along the entire gastrointestinal tract, from the mouth to the anus and it can affect the entire thickness of the bowel wall.

Some of the most common symptoms of Crohn’s disease include the following: persistent diarrhea, rectal bleeding, an urgent need to move bowels, abdominal cramps and pain, a sensation of incomplete evacuation and constipation. Other symptoms can include fever, loss of appetite, weight loss, fatigue, night sweats and a loss of normal menstrual cycles.

The main cause of Crohn’s disease is a poor diet made possible from our modern society with the large processed food companies, fast food restaurants, agricultural chemical products in the form of pesticides and the ever increasing genetical modified organisms (GMOs) in the food supply. All of these modern applications to our food supply wreck havoc on our entire digestive and immune systems by greatly weakening the body’s ability to generate proper levels of stomach acid (hydrochloric acid), the body’s ability to absorb nutrients within the small intestine and the body’s ability to keep the proper balance of bacteria, mainly in the large intestine, but throughout the entire body. When these functions of the body are weakened or destroyed, disease sets in and one of these diseases is Crohn’s disease. Simply put, Crohn’s disease is the inability of the digestive system to digest, absorb and assimilate the nutrients necessary for a healthy body and mind. This sets the stage for the body to start attacking itself because the body sees the undigested food in the blood steam as a foreign invader. Couple the undigested food with the chemicals from food and body care products and the stage for general war against the body is set.

The best way to mitigate or cure Crohn’s disease is a complete lifestyle change, beginning with healthy food. The most healing diet includes the following foods: grass fed beef, pastured chicken, wild fish, pastured eggs, oysters, avocados, coconut oil, olive oil, cod liver oil, bone broth from pastured animals, raw pastured butter, raw cow or goat milk, raw cow or goat yogurt and kefir, homemade vegetable juice, steamed vegetables, raw apple cider vinegar, raw honey and perhaps, some fruit here and there. All of these foods need to be hormone free and organic. Each person with Crohn’s disease will be at a different stage in their dealing with this disease and the above listed foods will vary from person to person. Some folks will be able to eat some fruit and cooked vegetables and some will not. Some folks will be able to digest raw milk and some will not. Some folks will have to eat a completely raw primal diet to ensure the best path to healing. Grains, beans, pasteurized dairy, nuts, seeds, added sweeteners, starches and raw vegetables need to be avoided to ensure the best healing of the digestive system. Avoid all processed foods, fast foods, GMO foods and pesticide laden foods.

Certain supplements will be helpful and these supplements will vary from person to person. These supplements include the following: HCL with pepsin capsules, digestive bitters, digestive enzymes, probiotics, raw cod liver oil, whole foods based vitamin C, whole foods based zinc, other whole foods based vitamins and minerals, adaptogenic herbs, terramin clay and other supplements.

Besides a radical change in diet, other lifestyle changes include the following: using very little body care products and these body care products need to be organic, getting outside as much as possible and soaking up the sunlight, following circadian rhythm, doing some Earthing (putting your bare feet on the Earth), engaging in moving your body, deep breathing, emotional expression and healing, reducing stress levels, spending time with loved ones, and standing up for yourself. Of course, there are other healthy lifestyle changes to incorporate into your life and it will vary from person to person.

Crohn’s disease is a challenging and sometimes, a major life altering disease. If we are going to see any reduction in Crohn’s disease with the hopes of curing it, we start with what we eat and we eat foods that have healing energy and properties; and from there, we start to radical change the way we live on every level of life: physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

Cure for Cancer

Everyone has been touched by cancer, by knowing a relative or friend who had or has cancer or by having cancer, yourself, in the past or currently. Most all of us know someone that has died from cancer. Why is cancer such an epidemic in our society? Will there ever be a cure for cancer? Will modern medicine ever discover the cure for cancer or does the cure for cancer lie within the power of Mother Nature?

From my research and investigation, the War on Cancer from modern medicine is not working and the real cure for cancer lies within the natural world.

The cure for cancer is a combination of several aspects of life, beginning with eating organic and truly healthy food, with a good amount of raw foods, including raw animal protein and raw animal fat. Other natural health aspects to cure cancer include using healthy body care products and cleaning products, following the circadian rhythm of the Sun as best as you can, walking barefoot (Earthing) on natural surfaces, sleeping well as sleeping dictates a healthy or unhealthy immune system, a healthy or unhealthy hormonal system and a healthy or unhealthy bacteria balance, drinking pure and filtered water, avoiding GMO foods, avoiding heavy metals such as mercury, aluminum, fluoride and lead, avoiding negative people and negative thoughts as best as you can, eating with the seasons, moving your body, engaging in some sort of strength training, breathing deeply throughout the day and engaging in a daily meditation and prayer practice.

Nutritionist in Denver

Being a nutritionist in Denver is exciting and fun as I help one person at a time to achieve awesome and amazing health! My confidence and the results with my clients allows me to state that I am one of the best, if not, the best nutritionist in Denver. My passion is on fire when it comes to spreading the truth about healthy food and how nutrition is the best prevention and cure for illness and disease.

Being a nutritionist in Denver, I know that people are busy, perhaps too busy, and they are stressed; and they want to enjoy life, with a full social calendar and outdoor activities such as hiking, biking and snowboarding; and they want to stay healthy; and this is where I stand out! I have done the research and I know that being healthy is more than just good nutrition. Nutrition is the foundation of a healthy body and mind, but there are other aspects of life that are very important and I know some of these key aspects.

The most important aspects, other than nutrition, are the following: emotional health and expression, stress reduction, exercise and the two missing links called circadian rhythm and earthing. These two missing links are so important to living an energized and vibrant life. Circadian rhythm is about doing your best to be awake and asleep with the rising and setting of the sun, eating foods that are in season and minimizing being on the computer and cell phone after the sun sets. Earthing is about placing your bare-feet on the the Earth: grass, sand, dirt, etc. With Earthing, you will receive negative electrons from the Earth and these negative electrons will decrease inflammation and increase your energy and overall health.

I enjoy being a nutritionist in Denver as I teach my clients more than just nutrition. I teach them life skills that help them live long and vibrant lives without succumbing to a chronic illness or disease.

Here is some awesome information on Earthing. https://earthing.com/

Chronic Disease

Chronic disease is everywhere in our society. What is going on? Has it always been this way? How many people do you know that are suffering from a chronic disease? Chronic disease is much larger than it use to be and it’s due to all the environmental toxins in the food, air, water, beauty products, skin care products, clothing and modern medicine, including pharmaceutical drugs and vaccines. Do you realize all the toxins in vaccines and the damage being done to babies and kids?
What is the answer to preventing and curing chronic disease? I can tell you that the answer is not modern medicine and all the drugs and surgery. The answer in preventing and curing chronic disease is five fold: primal eating, earthing, circadian rhythm, emotional health and some exercise.

War on Cancer

The government and modern medicine’s war on cancer has been around since the 1960’s and it’s still raging with no victory in sight. The war on cancer is like the war on drugs and the war on terrorism. These wars are failures and they will never be successful. It’s sad how much propaganda has been spewed on the American public and the propaganda continues today.

All this pink ribbon hysteria by the Susan G. Komen organization is mind blowing. There will never be a cure for cancer has long as there are toxins in the world and treating cancer with toxins like radiation and chemotherapy is unbelievable.

The war on cancer is quite simply, a failing and costly approach propped up by big medicine and big government and sadly, the majority of people still believe that the war on cancer will be won.

It’s time to start using some critical thinking and discernment and to realize that the war on cancer does not make sense and the war on cancer is based on fear and money.

Environmental Toxins

Environmental toxins are everywhere and they are a huge factor in undermining the health of our society and the whole wide world. Environmental toxins are part of modern living, but at what cost to our health? Some of these environmental toxins are necessary in order to produce computers, cars and other machines, but many of these environmental toxins are unnecessary and should not be allowed in our food, water or air, such as fluoride and mercury, toxins in body care products and cosmetics, and the toxins in processed foods, such as aspartame. All these environmental toxins are contributing to the onslaught of neurological diseases, cancer, birth defects, respiratory problems and digestive diseases.

Here is an excellent article by the Weston A. Price Foundation on how to protect yourself from environmental toxins.  Below is the article and here is the link to the article at the Weston A. Price Foundation Website. http://www.westonaprice.org/environmental-toxins/

Survival in the modern world is becoming more and more difficult. Not only must we navigate the treacherous waters of processed foods (particularly difficult for parents as advertising for the worst food items is aimed directly at children) but also contend with the growing presence of industrial and agricultural toxins.

In this section we look at pesticides and industrial poisons as a cause of SARS–Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome–as well as the accumulation of mercury–one of the most toxic substances on the planet–in our biosphere: in the oceans, in fish, and in our own bodies. Levels of cadmium, lead, aluminum and arsenic are also rising. Add electromagnetic pollution, irradiation, ultrapasteurization, fluorescent lights and toxic additives like MSG and aspartame to the equation and we arrive at the explanation for rising rates of acute and degenerative disease.

How do we protect ourselves against this onslaught? Obviously, the first line of defense is to avoid these toxins as much as possible. That means choosing whole, unprocessed, organic or pasture-fed food, drinking and cooking with filtered water and avoiding the most flagrant sources of poison–saying no to thimerosal in vaccines, amalgam fillings and pesticides in our homes and gardens.

Most of us have less choice when it comes to where we live and work. Nevertheless, we should seek alternatives to jobs that expose us unnecessarily to pesticides and industrial toxins.

None of us can completely escape exposure to toxins–and neither could our ancestors. Smoke is filled with toxins–think of the primitive Gaelics that Weston Price described, living in smoke-filled cottages. Before electricity, smoke from lamps and fireplaces was a constant source of irritants and carcinogens.

Fortunately, many factors in traditional diets help the body deal with toxins. Last issue we read about how gelatin-rich broths helps the liver detoxify. In this section, Eric Davis describes the benefits of a protein-and fat-rich diet in supporting the body’s various defenses against poisons. Lacto-fermented foods provide additional support.

Pesticides work by interfering with vitamin A pathways. Therefore, adequate vitamin A is key to surviving in the modern world. That translates into plenty of butterfat, eggs and organ meats from grass-fed animals with a supplement of cod liver oil to provide an extra measure of protection. Fortunately, mercury accumulates in the protein portion of fish, not the oil, so cod liver oil is clean and safe.
